My name is Zayyan Farooqi and I am currently a freshman at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. At our website, yourbodyandyou.weebly.com, I try to raise awareness on a health concern that many people look over and don’t pay attention to: the dangers of smoking cigarettes. As a student in a time where Digital Spaces and social media are being used rhetorically for a plethora or reasons, I felt the need to create a space that might help inform people about these health concerns caused by smoking and direct them towards the appropriate places to gain more knowledge and, from there, ultimately get on the track towards giving up cigarettes all together.

My name is Esther Oh and I am currently a freshman at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I am a Korean-American residing in Queens, New York. A question that I frequently encounter is "What is it that you want to accomplish in life, what are your desires, and what exactly do you want?" My answer is happiness. I believe that happiness is what everybody wants in life and that everybody blindly pursues the learned culture that tells us materialistic things define happiness. On the contrary, the most fundamental necessity of happiness is life itself, both mental and physical health. Thus, I have embarked on a journey to living a healthy and happy lifestyle.
