IV. Expectations for Next Class
- Notice how the introduction offers a brief context of each video.
- Notice how each section has a subtitle.
- Notice how the first subsection closes with a "gel" sentence and the second subsection begins with a "gel" sentence.
III. Collaboration Time: Your Tasks Today
- Decide the order of your writing.
- Read your writing aloud together. Make sure it all flows. Make sure you are not being repetitive in the introduction and conclusion.
- Make sure that the writing does rhetorical analysis. You are not just summarizing the video and explaining why you like it!
- Make sure that you are BOTH quoting your rhetors (USE TIME STAMPS).
- Make sure that each of the two main sections uses rhetorical theory and references an author we read in this class. You must use APA in-text citations for this.
- Add your "gel" sentences.
- Make sure that you are using the collective we (I believe Suli Breaks makes an important point BECOMES we believe Suli Breaks makes an important point)
- Make sure that you are using third person to reference personal experiences (i.e., Carmen witnessed significant bullying in her junior high school). For consistency's sake, you should both use personal experiences, where applicable. Don't have just one writer using a personal experience and not the other.
- Review the point-spread to make sure that you have accomplished all of your tasks.
- Take a photo of all your drafts/papers so far. These drafts will become part of your ePortfolio.
IV. Expectations for Next Class
