II. Your Final TASKS

• We are off-track from the syllabus now.  We took a little more time to complete the main justice page and the justice subpage.  Keep pushin... you are doing well!
• Your next deadline is: NEXT MONDAY BEFORE CLASS.  There will be no extensions from here.

Part 1 of your last tasks: Finish your final subpage--- the research subpage
Please remember that you have not started this page yet and have not written anything in the semester to fulfill its requirements.  This page will be a lot like the research project you did in ENG101 where you had to go out and find your own sources.  Only you will NOT be writing a paper about this information.  You will be designing a kind of infographic of facts, histories and statistics. Click here if you need another point-spread for these last points.

Here are some examples that you should look at:

1. Notice how Justine defines the issues and history using columns.  Click here.
2. Notice how Sadia gives facts and statistics.  Click here.
3. Notice how Magdalena includes articles written in Spanish.  Click here.

Part 2 of your tasks: Finish your group role

• ​Webmasters: finish the homepage now.  For a good example, click here.  The homepage needs to: 1) explain the focus of the group (it should match the title of the site and URL); 2) introduce each main page and provide creative weblinks to get to each section and to the bios.  You are also responsible for the site's/homepage's heading.
• TAs: Finish the ABOUT ME main page (when you click ABOUT ME, you should notice that the page is blank.  For a good example, click here.  You need to do a short paragraph about each person and include a photo and weblink to their subpage.
• Copyeditors: Keep editing.  Your group grade will depend on the grammar of the entire site!
• Archivists: Finish taking all photos this Wednesday and send all photos to your group by Wednesday--- CC [email protected] on this correspondence

III. For today's class, FIND THREE ARTICLES

1. Go to the JJay library at jjay.cuny.edu
2. Select the EBSCOhost database
3. Select peer-reviewed articles (those published after 2010 are best)
4. Type in your search terms for your topic.  Try to get as specific as possible.  Make sure that you are ONLY looking at peer-reviewed articles!
5. Download the article and email them to yourself, print it out, or put it on a USB!
6. Read your article and start making your research subpage. Make sure that you give your research subpage a title!
