A fan fell off the balcony at a Drake concert at the Apollo in Harlem, NY onto the audience below. Security helped him to walk out while Drake stopped the concert... and the whole time, the fan was on his phone--- capturing the whole thing.
Since opening its doors in 1914 and introducing the first Amateur Night contests in 1934, the Apollo has played a major role in the emergence of jazz, swing, bebop, R&B, gospel, blues, and soul. Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis Jr., James Brown, Gladys Knight, Luther Vandross, D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, and countless others began their road to stardom on the Apollo stage. III. Review of Next Tuesday's assignment
You were asked to visit any three of the weblinked websites in this link.Find THREE that you like best (or, if you have a different site that you like, put it on your list). You should have come to class with a mental list of your favorite three different websites (if the website is no longer working/there, make a note of that).
Write out your list of three on the notecard you have been given. This is today's classroom activity worth 2 points. On your list, circle which website you like best and write one sentence why. Please consider volunteering to tell the class what you chose. You must submit this notecard in class today.
There is no class next Tuesday (Carmen will be in Ohio with her father). Instead, work on submission #2 and upload it to D2L.
