II. New & Final Theme: "TechnoRacism
 Our next and last project will be a collaborative website on technoracism. Work on your submissions based on this.  Consider, for instance, using an infographics for upcoming assignments that you can later add to your webpages.  Imagine yourself writing to educate a public audience. (Make sure you have also completed the pairing questionnaire).
A. "These are My Confessions": ChatGPT Storytelling
"If I'm gonna tell it, then I gotta tell it all." ~usher, "Confessions"
Today we are writing a story about GenAI-- as in ChatGPT, Gemini, etc (generative AI).  Choose any ONE prompt below.
  1. In DETAIL, describe a time that GenAI helped you do something--- how and why?  What was this something? What was the outcome? How does this impact you now?
  2. In DETAIL, describe a time when GenAI did you wrong and/or you thought it was the root of all evil--- where and why?  How does this impact you now?
  3. In DETAIL, describe a time when your teacher, parent/family, friend, or otherwise rattled-adult became unhinged stressing that you must NEVER use GenAI--- when, where, and why?  What do you think of this moment and why?
  4. In DETAIL, describe a time when your teacher, parent/family, friend, or otherwise supportive-adult helped you use GenAI (better)--- when, where, and why? What do you think of this moment and why?
B. Discussion & Drawing (Any volunteers to share what they wrote?  Remember to submit this story at the end of class.)
In small groups, you will create an ANALOG infographic/chart
  1. Choose a facilitator who leads discussion and makes sure all of the points listed here get done! Facilitators only get the extra point if the chart is done correctly.
  2. Represent your group's experience (yes, everyone!) based on the narratives yall wrote today.
  3. Represent your group's thoughts on the UPSIDE of GenAI.
  4. Represent your group's thoughts on the DOWNSIDE of GenAI.​
  5. Write out your group's policy on GenAI in the classroom, for work, for club organizing, etc.
  6. Make sure you use words, symbols, and images.
  7. Make sure all names are on your chart and that the facilitator is noted.
C. Review of ​"Student Guide to AI Literacy"
Making an Infographic
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Make a clear title
  2. Choose a color package/ design
  3. Choose a single representative image and/or use a series of charts and graphs that are laid out in a clear way
  4. Highlight at least 3-5 DIRECT central ideas AND at least one quotation (these are not full sentences)
  5. Go beyond 3-5 central ideas OR create longer prose somewhere on the infograph (see the beige part in the sample)
  6. ONLY one page!!
  7. Include your name(s)
  8. Include the citation (see below)
  9. Look/be as original as possible! No robot-speak!
